About Our Client
Our client is a well-established financial services organisation with a strong focus on risk management, analytics and innovation. This 6-month contract assignment is available for an immediate start and offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative and business-critical function.
Job Description
- Support daily P&L control activities and investigate valuation or reporting issues
- Analyse profitability drivers and risk exposures across a broad portfolio of financial instruments
- Prepare concise management reporting and provide actionable business insights
- Identify opportunities to improve and automate business processes using modern technologies
- Develop, maintain and enhance analytical tools, dashboards and data products
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across finance, risk and business functions
- Contribute to data-driven decision-making through robust analysis and reporting
The Successful Applicant
- 4+ years of experience as an Investment Analyst, Risk Analyst, Market Risk Analyst, Quant Analyst or similar
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, including derivatives
- Sound knowledge of valuation methodologies and profitability measurement concepts
- Excellent Python programming skills with experience in analytics and automation
- Proven ability to analyse and improve business processes and underlying business logic
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- High attention to detail with a structured and accurate working style
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex topics clearly to senior stakeholders
- Experience with dashboards, data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) or analytical product development is advantageous
- Exposure to front-office systems and trading environments is beneficial
