Thermo Fisher Scientific hires in Allschwil for a site-based EHS role. The specialist supports operational EHS, regulatory compliance, emergency planning and safety across site departments, operations and warehouse.
Tasks
- Advise departments and managers on EHS guidelines, procedures and regulatory requirements
- Conduct site inspections and monitor EHS standards
- Manage occupational hygiene and coordinate monitoring campaigns
- Develop prevention programmes and deliver EHS training and communications
- Lead the site Safety Committee and coordinate emergency response and exercises
- Support warehouse storage concepts and safety-equipment maintenance with FM
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related field, with further Occupational Safety training, or equivalent education and experience
- At least 5 years of EHS experience
- Strong knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations
- Experience in the chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in occupational/industrial hygiene
- Fluent German and good English
- Strong training, coaching, problem-solving, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of biological hazards and biosafety
