We are looking for an ‘Application Development Scientist’ to work in the Application Development team researching and testing new solutions for spatial multi-omics assays on tissue samples using Bio-Techne Spatial instruments. /ph3Missions /h3ulliTest, optimize, and validate new markers for immunofluorescent multiplex stainings on tissue samples /liliInvestigate novel innovative solutions for spatial-omics assays on Bio-Techne Spatial microfluidic platforms /liliDevelop a fine understanding of in situ protein and RNA detection methodologies /liliAcquire images, process them, analyze data, and report results concisely /liliExplore and understand the biological background of the target markers under development /liliContribute to the continuous development of devices and software /liliInteract with multidisciplinary team of hardware and software engineers and researchers /li /ulpThis position reports to the Application Development Manager. /ph3Qualifications /h3pYour ideal profile /pulliA PhD degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, or a similar field /liliOr an equivalent background (e.g. Master degree with at least 3 years of industry experience) /liliHands-on experience in spatial proteomics or transcriptomic assays for analysis of histological samples (IHC, IF, in situ hybridization, in situ sequencing, or similar techniques etc.) is a must /liliExperience in handling microfluidics devices and fluorescent microscopes is a strong plus /liliGood knowledge in image processing and data analysis is a strong plus /liliYou demonstrate critical thinking, good organizational skills, and attention to details /liliDynamic, enthusiastic, and organized individual, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment /liliA real team player, you are also comfortable working independently /liliFluency in oral and written English is a must /li /ulpBio-Techne is committed to product quality, customer satisfaction, continued improvement, minimising environmental impacts and conserving natural resources.
