TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping hires in Geneva for its Trading Accounting team, supporting TotalEnergies Gas & Power activities. The role oversees accounting and controls for natural gas, LNG, power, emissions and derivatives across complex international trading operations.

Tasks

  • Ensure accurate accounting of trading activities across gas, LNG, power, emissions and derivatives
  • Reconcile trading system outputs with accounting records and investigate discrepancies
  • Review accounting and operational issues and coordinate resolution across teams
  • Oversee derivatives accounting, including futures, deliveries, realised results and variation margin
  • Manage intercompany P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Enhance controls and lead or contribute to systems, reporting and automation projects

Requirements

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong accounting expertise and knowledge of IFRS and/or statutory accounting
  • Exposure to commodity trading and/or derivatives accounting
  • Experience with ERP and/or ETRM systems; advanced Excel skills
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, stakeholder management and communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in energy, commodities or trading
  • Power Query, Power BI, SQL and/or Python experience
