Position: German Language and Literature Expert (German)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
Evaluate the quality and accuracy of LLM-generated German text across various use cases such as translation summarization dialogue and grammar correction.
Edit refine or rewrite German content to ensure it meets linguistic cultural and literary standards.
Annotate German texts for grammatical syntactic semantic and stylistic features to enhance model understanding.
Identify model errors and linguistic shortcomings. Collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance in German.
Provide detailed literary and linguistic feedback to guide ongoing model training and evaluation efforts.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Native or near-native fluency in German with excellent command of grammar syntax and stylistics.
Professional experience in literary editing copywriting criticism or NLP-related linguistic annotation in German.
Strong understanding of literary complexity tone and genre-specific conventions as well as regional language variations.
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to identify subtle translation errors or unnatural phrasing.
Strong written communication skills and experience working with remote distributed teams.
Preferred
Interest in AI translation technologies or LLM-driven language research.
