Tasks

• Advise on EMEA privacy laws, regulations, authority actions and trends
• Guide teams on privacy compliance for new and enhanced products and services
• Advise on clinical trials, research, analytics, data collaborations, HR, contracting and cybersecurity
• Develop strategic and global privacy approaches with the privacy team
• Develop and deliver training on privacy
• Advise on data subject requests and promote a culture of privacy compliance

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience with privacy laws, particularly GDPR
• Law degree, JD or equivalent; licensed and in good standing to practise law
• CIPP/E certification
• Hands-on experience advising functional teams on privacy, data protection and digital laws, and assessing AI technologies
• Technology-oriented experience; strong preference for life sciences, medical devices or product design
• Fluency in English and at least one additional European language
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, risk-calibration and cross-functional collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Additional data privacy certifications
• Working knowledge of technology business models and operational security issues
• Project management and compliance experience
• Fluency in additional European languages
