ZHAW’s School of Management and Law seeks a Professor and Head of the Winterthur Institute of Health Economics (WIG) in Winterthur. The role leads an institute of over 30 staff and researchers and contributes to teaching and research. Starting 1 November 2027 or by agreement.
Tasks
- Lead the further development of the institute
- Manage the institute with the heads of its four research centers and the Center for Education Services
- Generate third-party funding through research and executive education with senior team members
- Teach and conduct research in an institute topic area as a full professor
Requirements
- PhD in Economics, Health Economics or a closely related Social/Health Science discipline
- Strong publication history in leading peer-reviewed journals
- Proven leadership, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Proven record of acquiring substantial third-party funding and competitive research grants
- Experience developing and positioning executive education programs
- Established professional network across national and international healthcare and academic sectors
- Deep understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, regulatory framework and policy challenges; extensive applied health economic research experience; ability to teach and mentor …
