Syngenta Crop Protection AG is hiring in Münchwilen for a Principal Scientist in Application Technology. The role supports product development through application testing and technical expertise, with regular on-site experimental work and home office on demand for approximately 10% of working time.
Tasks
- Define product design specifications and lead Fit-for-Use testing, including data analysis and communication
- Set risk-based test plans, methods, acceptance criteria and evidence requirements
- Identify application risks, compatibility issues and customer needs, and drive actions to resolution
- Develop test methods, technical solutions and application concepts for product performance and sustainability
- Coordinate laboratory and application operations, maintenance and equipment upgrades
- Advance automation, data capture, analysis and digital tools; uphold HSE in laboratory and field activities
Requirements
- University degree in agronomy, biology, agricultural engineering or a related scientific or engineering discipline
- Strong knowledge of crop protection application technologies, agronomy and product-use practices
- Ability to define test strategies, interpret technical data and make clear recommendations
- Strong project management, analytical thinking, innovation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Customer-focused mindset and strong attention to safety and data quality
- Proactive, adaptable and collaborative approach; willingness to raise risks and challenge assumptions constructively
