Roche is hiring an Analytical Associate in Basel for a 12-month assignment through Flexsis AG; extension is likely. The role develops analytical methods for synthetic molecules and works with process development and QC.
Tasks
- Develop and optimize analytical methods for starting materials, intermediates and APIs
- Plan and execute experiments, including reaction monitoring and method development
- Coordinate analytical activities and sample management with process development and cross-functional partners
- Transfer developed methods in cooperation with QC
- Prepare analytical procedures and reports for method validation and regulatory filings
- Improve analytical workflows using digital tools
Requirements
- Vocational training as a Laboratory Technician or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field
- At least 2–3 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Practical experience with HPLC, GC, KF and MS instruments
- Expertise in method development
- Strong scientific writing skills and ability to present experimental results precisely
- High quality awareness and attention to detail in a non-GMP development environment
- Fluent English; German is beneficial
