TotalEnergies installed its European trading hub across in Geneva, which now bring together very large teams around trading activities: TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping (T&S) and TotalEnergies Gas and Power (TGP).
T&S is a trading company in charge of all physical trading and shipping of crude oil and refined products on behalf of the TotalEnergies Company. It has been an active participant all over the supply chain as well as on the derivatives paper market in order to manage the market risk for a long time.

Structured Origination & Finance (SOF) team sits within the Strategy & Business Development department at TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping and is responsible for the origination, structuring and distribution of transactions with financial angle that are aimed at creating mid to long-term new trading flows and contributing to the P&L of TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping division. The team has a global remit looking across crude and refined products trading books and geographical locations.
Activities
The role-holder will be based in TotalEnergies Trading & Shipping Geneva office and its primary responsibility is to support the members of the Structured Origination & Finance team with the assessment, structuring and implementation of transactions.
Activities
Assist members of SOF team with data collection in relation to business opportunities
Analyse new opportunities and report results to members of SOF team
Build financial models for assessment of transaction economics and risk profile
Assist with transactions due diligence
Prepare information package for further internal and/or external presentation
Help coordinate the execution of transactions
Monitor and report on implemented transactions
Maintain a weekly report consolidating details of all projects reviewed by SOF team
Follow a market intelligence report based on available sources for the team benefit, including review of competitors activities relevant for SOF activity
Help handle the relationships with various sources of liquidity and risk distribution to optimise the amount, cost and structure of each project
Key relationships:
Internal: team members, traders, finance, compliance, legal and senior management
External: counterparties, banks, insurers, institutional investors
Candidate Profile
Final year of master's degree in finance, economics (or equivalent) or school of engineering
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously when required and to take initiatives
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft office applications, in particular excel for financial modelling
Languages: fluent in English, any other language is a plus
