Location: Gümligen Workload: 80-100% Start: By agreement Your tasks: Design, implement and evaluate algorithms for spectral analysis Develop, maintain and extend signal processing pipelines and instrument automation procedures Analyse mass spectrometry measurement data: isotopic ratios, repeatability, uncertainties and instrument performance Contribute to collaborative software development including code reviews, unit and integration tests and CI/CD pipelines Work as part of an interdisciplinary R&D team in an agile environment, operating close to the limits of physics Your profile: A degree in Data Science, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science or a related field Strong statistical analysis skills and the ability to critically evaluate experimental results Practical experience writing production-quality Python code Proficiency in Git and collaborative software development practices such as code review and CI/CD Structured, self-driven working style, proactive about surfacing open questions and next steps Curiosity and enthusiasm for solving complex technical problems in an interdisciplinary team Background in signal processing, analytical data pipelines, time-series analysis or spectroscopic data is a plus Fluent in English, German proficiency is a plus
