Position: German Language and Literature Expert (German)
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
Evaluate the quality and accuracy of LLM-generated German text across various use cases such as translation, summarization, dialogue, and grammar correction.
Edit, refine, or rewrite German content to ensure it meets linguistic, cultural, and literary standards.
Annotate German texts for grammatical, syntactic, semantic, and stylistic features to enhance model understanding.
Identify model errors and linguistic shortcomings. Collaborate with AI researchers to improve LLM performance in German.
Provide detailed literary and linguistic feedback to guide ongoing model training and evaluation efforts.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Native or near-native fluency in German, with excellent command of grammar, syntax, and stylistics.
Professional experience in literary editing, copywriting, criticism, or NLP-related linguistic annotation in German.
Strong understanding of literary complexity, tone, and genre-specific conventions, as well as regional language variations.
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to identify subtle translation errors or unnatural phrasing.
Strong written communication skills and experience working with remote, distributed teams.
Preferred
Interest in AI, translation technologies, or LLM-driven language research.
