Our toolbox is composed of the following software: /p h3Your Day as a Senior Backend Cloud Engineer /h3 pYour responsibilities will cover the following key areas: /p ulliDesigning, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure REST / gRPC APIs and microservices (Python/FastAPI, Go). /liliData modeling and relational database optimization (PostgreSQL). /liliEnsuring code quality through automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end). /li /ul h3Cloud, Infrastructure as Code GitOps: /h3 ulliArchitecting, deploying, and managing Cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS: EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, Networking). /liliAutomating Cloud infrastructure end-to-end using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, OpenTofu). /liliContainer orchestration using Kubernetes (EKS) and implementing Continuous Deployment workflows based on GitOps principles (ArgoCD / Flux). /liliDesigning and optimizing automated CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). /liliManaging observability (monitoring, metrics, logs, tracing with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Elastic) and maintaining high availability. /li /ul h3Your profile /h3 pYour essential skills for success in this role /p ullibEducation: /b Degree in Computer Science (EPFL/HES Engineer, Master's degree) or equivalent practical qualification. /lilibExperience: /b Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a Backend Engineering role with a strong Cloud Infrastructure component. /lilibBackend Engineering: /b Proficiency in modern languages (Python/FastAPI, Go), microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and Clean Code (Essential). /lilibCloud Infrastructure: /b Proven operational experience on Amazon AWS (Essential). /lilibIaC GitOps: /b Solid practical experience with Terraform/OpenTofu (module design, state management), Kubernetes, and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux (Essential). /lilibDevOps CI/CD: /b Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks. /lilibLanguages: /b Good command of French and technical English.
