A Day in the Life

As the Global Sales Excellence Program Manager/Senior Program Manager for Surgical Sales you will lead the design development and global implementation of strategic sales training and capability-building programs that elevate sales performance and execution. This role is accountable for program strategy cross-functional alignment and ensuring consistent delivery of scalable high-impact initiatives that empower the surgical sales organization to grow share and win in a competitive market.

These roles can be filled at either the Program Manager or Senior Program Manager level depending on the qualifications of the top candidate.

Remote

This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts. This role will require at least 50% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.

We are filling two positions on the team one based in the continental United States and the other in Western Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Program Strategy & Development

Develop and manage global sales enablement programs aligned with commercial priorities product launches and market strategies.

Shape the program roadmap across key areas including onboarding capital and SaaS selling strategic selling sales management development and commercial acumen.

Ensure content and curriculum are modern modular and tailored to roles across the surgical sales ecosystem.

Program Execution & Governance

Oversee end-to-end program implementation including content creation pilot testing deployment planning and stakeholder engagement.

Coordinate across global and regional teams to ensure timely and consistent delivery of programs at scale.

Manage program calendars resources communications and execution risks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Alignment

Partner with Global Marketing Sales Operations HR Clinical Education and Regional Enablement to ensure program alignment and integration.

Serve as the central point of contact for key stakeholders to align program goals with business needs and field readiness.

Measurement & Optimization

Establish KPIs and track program effectiveness adoption and business impact (e.g. productivity ramp sales execution capability uplift).

Collect and analyze feedback to iterate and improve program design and delivery.

Drive continuous improvement and innovation in enablement approaches leveraging digital platforms and data insights.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree required

Program Manager requirements (280730): minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in medical device sales sales enablement training or program management within a complex global organization or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience in medical device sales sales enablement training or program management within a complex global organization

Senior Program Manager requirements (280750) - minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in medical device sales sales enablement training or program management within a complex global organization or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales experience in medical device sales sales enablement training or program management within a complex global organization

Nice to Have

Bachelors degree in business education healthcare or related field

Demonstrated success leading cross-functional programs with measurable impact on sales effectiveness.

Familiarity with capital equipment and/or surgical sales models including SaaS and strategic selling.

Excellent communication stakeholder engagement and program governance skills.

Experience within a global Sales Excellence or Commercial Enablement function.

Working knowledge of LMS platforms CRM tools and digital learning technology.

Project management certification (e.g. PMP Agile) a plus.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Plans develops and coordinates in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers.

Obtains information needed to prepare in-house training programs; prepares training materials; develops course content; determines methodology; and coordinates the development of training aids.

Ensures training program(s) meets company and customer objectives.

Maintains communication with customers to ensure effectiveness of training.

May utilize trainers with technical expertise.

Continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT CAREER STREAM:Program Managers and Directors focus on tactical operational activities for a major program with broad or ongoing impact. Levels within the program management career stream typically accomplish program objectives through matrixed employee teams and / or vendors who are not direct reports but for which the incumbent has direct accountability to lead. The majority of time is spent overseeing their area of responsibility managing program/team performance communicating project and operational developments planning prioritizing and / or directing the responsibilities of program team members. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of program team members.

Autonomy:Manages one or more small-scale developed or mature programs with well-defined program plans and delivery accountable for overall program process performance and customer satisfaction.

Innovation and Complexity:Problems faced are difficult and require detailed information gathering analysis and investigation to understand the typically impact multiple workstreams departments or programs management processes to improve program.

Leadership and Talent Management:Leads directs and reviews the work of a team of professionals and/or vendors who exercise latitude and independence in their involvement in daily tasks necessary for successful program directly responsible for hire or fire decisions and people management.

Required Knowledge and Experience:Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes projects and tactics within one job has advanced knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
